Following the inspirational meetings in Berlin and Gothenburg, the team of EA was happy to host and welcome the project to Greece, to present another round of exciting case studies and examples of innovative science-citizens related projects. The team of EA showcased the premises and activities of the currently over 2000 students at EA, while a special focus was given to the students (science) projects.
More importantly, at the first day of the meeting, the project partners were presenting numerous cases studies that were covering various topics and thematic areas, including:
The second day of the meeting decided to showcase a very successful example of a citizen educational garden at Organization Earth.
Organization Earth is a Greek non-profit non-governmental organization (NGO) whose mission is the development of the concept of environmental & social intelligence, by providing experiential, non-formal education for sustainable development for all ages, introducing key sustainability issues into everyday life, primarily through learning activities. The “Centre of the Earth” is a “physical hub”, a meeting point for people of all ages who want to “re-define” urban lifestyles.
At the “Center of the Earth” programs are being implemented that consist of new ways of thinking and acting, capable of transforming the essential systems of food, energy and finance in order to insure a more fulfilling life for us and future generations.
